What Are Your Goals for 2010 ? By Anand Kumar

The year is coming to a close. When December finally changes into January, I will inevitably get a bittersweet feeling of starting over again, as I anticipate the opportunities yet to come in 2010.

Here is another chance for me to embark on new ventures, to accomplish the plans I’ve made in the last year, to do what I failed to do before. One more chance to do something extraordinary; something that changes my life and everything around me.

I’ve been preoccupied with many thoughts on my websites and their future. It’s time to shake off the fear of the unknown and play around with the possibility of change.

I am far too complacent and comfortable. Too unwilling to believe there’s a completely different way of doing things. Too lazy to explore alternatives.

But 2009 was a fantastic year. I have embarked on a great journey of financial freedom and begun to do and achieve things that previously would have been dreams. But I don’t want to feel comfortable or complacent. It’s Time to evolve even more. New businesses and campaigns to set. Old ones to discard.

2010 will be an even more incredible year for me. And it can be for you too. If you’re truly open to change, it will be a year you’ll never forget. A year you’ll remember.

Set your goals and make sure you achieve them. Set goals that challenge you and not those that make you comfortable. Be used to feeling comfortable about being uncomfortable. That’s what will push you and make you grow. Learning is lifelong, so embrace it as when you get comfortable, you will stagnate. I don’t intend to in 2010.

2010..bring it on !

Importance of Having a Mentor when Starting an Online Business - by Anand Kumar

There are many things that you have probably thought about when it comes to your work-at-home online home businesses, but having a mentor might not be one of them. However, if you have not thought of it, you might want to start thinking of it, because having a mentor for your business can really be something that you can benefit form.

A mentor is someone who has been there before. They can give you advice, tell you stories about what has happened to them, and pass on contacts along with wisdom. When you have a mentor who has been there and done that – meaning that they have actually been in your position, they are going to be much more able to really understand what you are going through, and really know what it is that you want them to tell you.

When I was still starting about 10 months ago, nearly every single knowledge that I acquired was through a mentor. I must admit that it was not easy and everything seemed to be very confusing to me. He became my official mentor and has been very helpful with his honest and realistic advices.

A mentor is a light in the darkness, an arm around your shoulder when things have not gone well, the kick in your rear when you deserve it and a pat on the back when you have achieved your goals.

I'm still in regular contact with my mentor. Over the course of building up my online home business, I will encounter many hurdles but know that there is someone that I can pick up the phone and get some honest advice. I encourage you to look for your own mentor and perhaps in time become a mentor for someone else.

Dreamer or Doer ? by Anand Kumar

When I’m talking with budding entrepreneurs who have visions of running their own online or offline business, I always seem to hear the same thing:

“I know what I need to do, Anand…I just need to get off my butt and actually do it”.

But unfortunately, we all know what happens. Most never take the next step, and eventually give up on their dreams altogether.

Sound familiar?

When I was first starting out in the business, I had a hard time taking action.

Yes, I was enthusiastic. Yes, I was educated. Yes, I had the skills and the tools to get it done.

But for some reason, I couldn’t take that first step. It was like my feet were virtually magnetized to the floor! Of course, I eventually found ways to get over the hump and actually put my plans into action. And guess what? Success quickly followed.

So over the years, I’ve been shaping and refining those action-taking tactics…getting them down to a science..

Thank Goodness I have buried my demons of procrastination !

The Survival of The Fittest by Jay Kubassek, CEO CarbonCopyPro

Whether you’re already an entrepreneur, or just thinking about becoming one, you are invariably motivated by one of two things, or maybe even both—passion and necessity. Very often, entrepreneurs do what they do simply because they like it and want to do it. And because entrepreneurs, particularly very successful ones, rarely do anything half-way, they tend to pursue their lives and their businesses with a unique intensity. In short, they are passionate about how they live and work.

Sometimes though, entrepreneurs start a business because they have to. Maybe it was because they were laid off from their jobs, or even worse, fired. Perhaps their company went out of business and left them out of work, or didn’t pay them enough money. In today’s economy, it’s not uncommon to see whole industries collapse when their markets dry up, as we’re seeing with real estate, construction, mortgage lending and automobiles. Many of today’s highly successful companies were started by entrepreneurs and bred from pure necessity, plain and simple.

Entrepreneurship carries with it many rewards—and many risks. It is often said that when you are self-employed, you wake up unemployed every morning. But according to Experian, one of the three biggest credit reporting agencies, self-employed entrepreneurs make about 25% more than the general population. Of course when you really consider income differential, you also need to realize that most of the wealthiest men in America made their fortunes as entrepreneurs. Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, Donald Trump and Sam Walton are all self-made billionaire entrepreneurs.

But what about the risks? According to Entrepreneur Magazine somewhere between 85 and 94% % of all new business fail within the first 5 years. According to Dr. Gregory B. Murphy, associate dean and director of the MBA program for the College of Business at the University of Southern Indiana, the number of small businesses that close up shop due to severe financial distress such as bankruptcy is more on the order of 30%–40%. Regardless, this is still a huge rate of attrition.

Regardless of the risk, according to a study of entrepreneurs conducted by Master Card International, 65% of small business owners would tell a friend to start a business now, rather than wait a year. And according to MSNBC, small businesses are responsible for over 75% of the net new jobs in the economy.

These businesses often start very small—called micro businesses—and then grow rapidly. The US Census Bureau reports that 49% of the nation’s businesses are run from home, and industry analyst the Dieringer Group places the number of Americans running businesses from home at 45.1 million. Today, more so than ever, it is easy to start such a home-based business. Global search engine giant Yahoo reports that well over 75% percent of adults surveyed online indicated that the Internet directly facilitated the launch of their new business.

Based on all of this, regardless of whether you are—or want to be—an entrepreneur based on passion or necessity, you also need to consider the risk versus the reward. The potential benefits are vast and unlimited. The major risk is that you have about a 50% chance of failure. But you can get around that by doing some very basic things.

Leaders are not born. They are created. Anyone can become a leader in any area if they want to. (Read OUTLIERS by Malcom Gladwell) You need to set realistic expectations and manage them aggressively and then stick the bleep in there! Success is almost entirely based on determination—having the discipline to hang in there even when you feel like quitting 1000 times. Most entrepreneurs fail because they simply give up too soon. Free enterprise is really about the survival of the fittest, where only the strongest survive. The formula is simple—figure out what you what and then don’t quit until you have achieved your goals. Period.

CarbonCopyPRO is the world's most powerful marketing system for one reason—Leverage. The ability to efficiently and effectively utilize resources and time is a critical to the success of any online entrepreneur. Here are the top 5 ways that CarbonCopyPRO can give you an incredible amount of leverage in both your Wealth Masters International business, and your personal life.

1. The System—The majority of Internet marketing opportunities require you to create your own website if you want to do business online. And unlike CarbonCopyPRO, most of those systems don't have a team of online marketing gurus constantly split-testing and improving the framework from behind the scenes 24/7/365. Unless you’re using CarbonCopyPRO, you will need to walk your new team members through the process of building their own website while you find the time to build your own.

2. The Training—CarbonCopyPRO was built for—and by—the best marketers in the business. People that are out there in the marketplace, just like you, building their business using the exact same techniques that they developed and that we teach. With CarbonCopyPRO behind you, your prospects can be rest assured that they would be working with an entire team of people with a solid, impressive, track record of success.

4. The Resources—The leaders at CarbonCopyPRO are consistently researching and strategizing to bring you the best available resources in the industry. From our in house call-center that closes your sales, pre-written auto-responder (follow-up marketing system), daily webinars/conference calls, and live Master Marketing Events to The Urban Cowgirl and Platinum7, you will have exclusive access to resources that are unparallel in the industry.

5. The Lifestyle—Working with CarbonCopyPRO will have a huge impact on your personal lifestyle – IF you learn to leverage everything we have to offer. There is an old edict that states: If you are willing to work 99% harder than everyone else for 3-4 years, you will have the lifestyle that those 99% of people have only been able to dream about. Ultimately, when leveraged properly, you get to work less, so that you have time to enjoy the profits you're bringing in, while continuing to build your own financial legacy with Wealth Masters International. It’s the perfect scenario, and it’s waiting to be your reality.

True Leadership During "Troubled" Times - by Anand Kumar

Its been a long time since the world has faced economic conditions like the one we are currently experiencing. When you switch on the news or read the newspapers, all you hear are the dire conditions of economic downturn - loss of jobs, house repossessions, companies going into administration and the dreaded R word, Recession ! When we look at what is happening to some of the world’s strongest economies like the United States, the United Kingdom, economic superpowers of Germany and France, Asian giants such as Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore, it’s unprecedented.

But is this really the true picture ? Have we been manipulated to think that conditions are that terrible ? Media hype definitely hasn’t helped. There’s so much about what’s gone wrong with the various economies yet rare mention of any positives. Sensational news sells ! Have we ever thought to think that one of the contributing factors to economic turbulence was due to poor leadership ? Surely there were signs of impending economic challenges? We seem to have forgotten that the global economy goes through its cyclical trends of upward growth and downward spirals. That’s the nature of economics, and history has shown us these trends on many occasions. It’s not new at all. So why are we placing blame on economic conditions and not looking at ourselves as a cause for this state ?

Just looking at the financial sector in countries like the UK and US begs to ask these questions? Short-term quick fixes and exorbitant reward payment packages when they were not affordable have raised serious questions about leadership capabilities within these industries. Unfortunately, the impact of their mismanagement has led to a negative chain reaction across other sectors impacting global economies. Yet we still hear of many positive stories of economic growth and abundance, for example the supermarket chain, TESCO, having achieved annual profits of £3 billion, despite the economic downturn. Is it therefore possible that we can see and embrace leadership opportunities during such “tough” times ? I believe we certainly can! Human beings have faced disasters of monumental proportions throughout history and yet lived through them and progressed to even higher standards, for example, post war reconstruction of Japan and Germany after World War II and Asian economies bouncing back stronger after previous economic recessions, just to name a few.

Industries that are Booming During Tough Economic Times

Not only are some industries producing products or services that are always in-need and in-demand, regardless of the economy, but some categories are actually enjoying strong growth during difficult times. For example, as businesses downsize staff, they still have a need for the services those full-time employees once performed, so they are now outsourcing tasks to service providers. Commercial cleaning services, printing companies, staffing agencies, and computer repair and IT professionals are all popular categories that continue to flourish. Retail sectors like TESCO have proven themselves really well. Regardless of the economy, businesses and individuals want to be successful and those who see opportunities during difficult times continue to experience growth.

So what differentiates the men from the boys during these “difficult” economic times?

a. Successful Leaders find their defining moments during troubled times. During times of progression and growth, when economic conditions are positive and manageable, leadership is rarely tested. True leadership comes during difficult moments. Recognising this is critical as it allows leaders to re-evaluate their business, i.e., its values, its business architecture and what the business stands for. It about going deep within an organisation’s business culture and structure to truly understand what it’s doing, where its heading and what can be considered to move it ahead. Leaders should see this as an opportunity to redefine their organisation and reflect on its current status. It’s not about making hasty decisions such as laying off people and cutting costs unnecessarily. It’s about re-checking what made it successful so far and how it can further be developed.

b. Successful Leaders understand human nature. Bottled up in all of us are great emotional forces. If these are given an outlet, they can be used in a positive and constructive way, and which warms the heart and excites the imagination. If the approach to the human factor is cold and impersonal, then you achieve nothing. If you gain the confidence and trust of your people and they feel their best interests are safe in your hands, then you have in your possession a priceless asset and the greatest achievements possible. Harry Truman, 33rd President of the United States defined leadership as: ‘A leader is a person who has the ability to get people to do what they don't want to do and like it’.

c. Successful Leaders always keep lines of communication open. Communication is the key to making a difficult process more effective. In a crisis, managers are often inclined to stop communicating with their employees. In an effort to avoid any panic some leaders believe that saying nothing is the best approach. However, acknowledging the difficult circumstances is important to maintaining trust. It also shows that management is aware of the problems and working on ways to address them. The communication from the leader thus needs to be positive, proactive, and motivating, and it needs to be authentic.

d. Successful Leaders listen to other views; Don’t surround themselves with yes men! Be ready to hear different views, listen to what your employees are saying, surround yourself with a team of strong challenging thinkers, willing to be your sanity check and offering views that may go against your usual thinking. Having yes men around you can often be a recipe for disaster, and creates mistrust between management and staff. Leadership is about listening to all views and then having the courage to make decisions that are right for the business. A good example of a strong leader in current troubled times is President Obama of the United States. His unwavering ability to infuse confidence, credibility and authenticity in his leadership style has been largely due to surrounding himself with a strong, highly experienced leadership team, capable of challenging him to make tough, informed decisions.

e. Successful Leaders make time for Personal Development. When faced with tighter budgets, companies often try to squeeze as much work as possible out of their employees. However, encouraging round-the-clock availability and excessive overtime leads to frustration and burnout – and ultimately, poor performance – for managers and employees alike. Allow for opportunities to take leave when necessary to rejuvenate tired emotions. Create a learning culture so that all within the organisation can benefit with opportunities to grow. Very often companies try to cut the very costs that can help them progress in difficult time - people development. Visionary leaders are those who see development of their human resources as key to coming out of the difficult situation their company may be facing. By doing so, they get loyalty, motivation and desire to progress.

f. Successful Leaders know how to have fun and deal with Leadership Stress. Leaders need an outlet to vent and express their feelings. They need to make sure they have some sort of support system where they can air their concerns, such as family, friends, or peers. For a leader to be strong during these times, he or she needs to be emotionally and physically fit. Make time to be healthy and reduce stress – exercise, play sports, eat and sleep well, meditate and breathe fresh air. Leaders need to be at their best during these times, but very often, they do the opposite, leading to stress driven judgement and action.

Conclusion

By adopting a more positive, responsible outlook for yourself, your team and employees, you gain credibility, trust and loyalty that give you the strength to steer any organisation through difficult moments. Your choice is to make the experience either daunting or one of opportunity for all.

Basic Steps Of Earning Money From Home - by Anand Kumar

Everyone wants tips on how to earn money with a online home based business. However, a lot of people with a work at home business are not earning some money. Just because you have joined a MLM or affiliate program, don’t think just by sitting back you will make some money. This will achieve nothing but dissatisfaction and frustration.

Here are some tips to be on the right track. If you honestly do these things, and still don’t make any money then maybe a home business is not for you. But you need to be honest about this and put out the effort.

  • Create your website using host servers such as "Just Host" or "GoDaddy". They are cheap but provide very good quality service.

  • When you first start with a work at home business, set out at least an hour a day devoted to your business.

  • Spend the first day advertising your business on the free classified websites and social media sites (like facebook, Squidoo, Twitter). There are literally thousands of these sites to advertise on.

  • If you have a website for your business, then spend day 2 submitting your website to all of the search engines, Yahoo, MSN, Google, AOL, etc.

  • Day 3 start submitting articles to ezines as this is a very good way to promote and market your business.

  • Day 4 start by writing an article to use in the yahoo groups. And with this article your can promote your website at the end of the article.

  • Day 5 submit your business to the various business message boards, there are lots out there that let you post an ad for your home business.

  • Day 6 you will want to start advancing up and checking for “Leads” that are interested in starting a home business. When you find a good source you will want to start emailing them. To do this you will want a good auto responder to handle the high volume of emails. Aweber would be a good recommendation for autoresponders.

  • Day 7 you will want to start this process all over again.

You can do these steps in any order, but remember persistence is the key.

Spend an hour a day for the first 30 days on these items. Each day promote your business in a different way.

Within 30 days you will start to see the rewards of your work that you only spent 7-10 hours a week on! Further more don’t expect to get rich overnight. The businesses offering “pie in the sky” so to speak do yourself a favor and stay away from those type of offers.

Do yourself a favor when you get involved with a work at home business. You owe it to yourself to give it an honest try. Nothing will happen, if you don’t do anything.
